According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，China automobile sales were 1,381,100 units in August, increase 8.29% compared with last month, and increase 4.15% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, passenger car production was 1,095,200 units, a rise of 7.30 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle were up to 285,900 units, down 6.40 percent year on year.
        From January to August Chinese auto sales exceeded 11,983,600 units, a rise of 3.33 percent from a year earlier. Passenger car sales climbed 6.05 percent year on year to about 9,218,300 units; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 2,765,300 units, decrease 4.81percent from a year earlier.
