According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)，the amount of China’s auto production was 1,501,400 units in August, increase 4.48% compared with last month, and up 7.78% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, production of passenger cars was 1,228,500 units, increase 3.69% compared with last month, and up 10.00% year on year; the output of commercial vehicle was 272,900 units, increase 8.18% compared with last month, and decrease 1.19% compared with the same period of last year;
        From January to August this year, China automobile production reached 12,470,300 units, an increase of 5.19% compared with the same period of last year; Production of passenger cars was 10,014,200 units, increase 8.73 percent year on year; the output of commercial vehicle was 2,456,100 units, decreased by 7.15% compared with the same period of last year.
