In October of 2013, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 324,200 and 326,900 units respectively, down 7.4% and 4.5% than that of last month and up 5.7% and 6.5% year on year. The year-on-year growth rates in both sales and production were lower than that of in September. The economic improvement would definitely benefit to the growth of sales and production. Among different types, except that the production of truck chassis was higher than that of last month, other types were all lower than the figure in September. Comparing with the same period of last year, only the production of trucks was lower; others were up to some extent, of which the growth of semi-trailers even exceeded 50%.
For the first ten months, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 3,335,500 and 3,360,700 units respectively, up 8.6% and 7.4% from the previous year. Their growth rates witnessed a decrease of 0.3 percentage points and 0.1 percentage points comparing with the first nine months. Among the different varieties, the production and sales of semi-trailers showed an increase of 36.6% and 31.2% respectively, continuing to grow. The buses remained stable, with an increase of over 10%. And the growth of production and sales of trucks experienced a little drop. The growth of truck chassis was slightly higher than before; while the bus chassis was still lower than the same period of last year.
