In February, the production and sales of passenger cars were 1,338,800 and 1,312,200 units respectively, down 21.7% and 29% than that of last month, but up 21.2% and 18% year on year. For the first two months, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 3,049,300 and 3,159,000 units respectively, up 11.9% and 11.3% year on year. The growth of passenger cars was higher than the overall level of automobiles.
        From the perspective of auto type, except for the cross passenger cars, others all achieved positive growth in the first two months comparing with the same period of last year. Among of all, SUV and MPV increased rapidly, which were the key factors to drive the growth of passenger cars; while the growth of cars seemed to be slowed.
