The market share of Chinese brand passenger cars continued to decline on a yearly basis

In March, the sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 671,800 units, up 33.3% than that of last month, but down 2.3% year on year, accounting for 39.3% of the total sales of passenger cars. The sales increased by 0.9 percentage points than that of last month, but decreased by 4.1 percentage points from the previous year.Since last September, the market share of Chinese brand passenger cars was continuing to decline.
        For the first quarter, the sales of Chinese brand passenger cars were 1,885,300 units, down 1.5% year on year; while the overall growth of passenger cars reached 10.1%. The sales accounted for 38.7% of the total sales of passenger cars, down 4.5 percentage points from a year earlier.
        In March, the sales of Chinese brand cars reached 258,100 units, up 44.9% than that of last month, but down 11.9% year on year. The sales accounted for 23.7% of the total sales of cars. The market share increased by 2.3 percentage points comparing with last month, but decreased by 4.5 percentage points from the previous year.
        For the first quarter, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 715,000 units, down 17.7% year on year, accounting for 23% of the total sales of cars. The market share has decreased by 6.2 percentage points from the previous year.
