According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export was 85,500 units in March, up 59.2% than that of last month, but down 0.6% year on year. The auto export continued to decline on a yearly basis. Among different types, the passenger cars were 48,500 units, up 58.6% than that of last month, but down 7.4% year on year; and the commercial vehicles were 37,000 units, up 59.9% than that of last month, and up 10.1% year on year.
For the first quarter, the export reached 209,000 units, down 7.8% year on year.
According to customs data sorted out by CAAM, in February, the total import of automobiles was 86,600 units, up 42.1% year on year; and the total export was 42,100 units, down 33.7% year on year. For the first two months, the accumulated imports of automobiles reached 197,600 units, up 50.3% year on year; while the exports were 130,700 units, down 10.2% from the previous year.
