The market share of Chinese brand passenger cars continued to decline

In April, the sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 596,900 units, down 11.2% than that of last month, but up 4.5% year on year, accounting for 37.1% of the total sales of passenger cars. The sales decreased by 2.2 percentage points than that of last month, and decreased by 2.5 percentage points from the previous year.Since last September, the market share of Chinese brand passenger cars was continuing to decline.
        For the first four months, the sales of Chinese brand passenger cars were 2,481,200 units, down 0.1% year on year; while the overall growth of passenger cars reached 10.5%. The sales accounted for 38.3% of the total sales of passenger cars, down 4.1 percentage points from a year earlier.
        In April, the sales of Chinese brand cars reached 226,600 units, down 12.2% than that of last month, and down 12.9% year on year. The sales accounted for 22% of the total sales of cars. The market share decreased by 1.7 percentage points comparing with last month, and decreased by 4.7 percentage points from the previous year.
        For the first four months, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 941,600 units, down 16.6% year on year, accounting for 22.7% of the total sales of cars. The market share has decreased by 5.8 percentage points from the previous year.
