According to the statistics made by CAAM, the auto export was 78,100 units in April, down 8.6% than that of last month, and down 12.6% year on year. The auto export continued to decline on a yearly basis. Among different types, the passenger cars were 46,500 units, down 4.1% than that of last month, and down 13.3% year on year; and the commercial vehicles were 31,600 units, down 14.5% than that of last month, and down 11.7% year on year.
For the first four months, the export reached 286,800 units, down 9.3% year on year. The decrease rate enlarged 1.5 percentage points comparing with the first quarter.
According to customs data sorted out by CAAM, in March, the total import of automobiles was 110,800 units, up 30.5% year on year; and the total export was 72,700 units, down 7.6% year on year. For the first three months, the accumulated imports of automobiles reached 308,400 units, up 42.5% year on year; while the exports were 203,400 units, down 9.3% from the previous year.
