In May, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 326,200 and 320,800 units respectively, down 18.5% and 18.8% than that of last month. Comparing with last May, the production and sales were down 9.6% and 12% respectively. Same with last month, the sales and production continued to decrease on yearly basis. Moreover, such decline had widened.
        For the first five months, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 1,818,500 and 1,768,000 units respectively, up 2.4% and 0.1% year on year. Their growth rates slightly fell back comparing with the first four months.
        As for the first five months by type, the growth rates of the production and sales of buses were 3.4% and 5.7% respectively, of which such figures of bus chassis were down 11% and 11.5%. For trucks, the production was up 2.3% while the sales down 0.7%. More specifically, the medium and heavy trucks enjoyed growth while the mini and light trucks witnessed decline.
