The market share of Chinese brand passenger cars increased

In February, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 605,200 units, up 19.7% year on year. The market share increased by 4.8 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 173,700 units, down 3.3% year on year, with an decrease of 0.1 percentage points on market share. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 187,400 units and 145,000 units respectively, up 94.7% and 21.3% year on year. Their market shares increased by 16.1 percentage points and 2.7 percentage points.
        As for the first two months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 1,473,000 units, up 20.9% year on year. The market share increased by 4.3 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 459,500 units, down 0.6% year on year, with an decrease of 0.2 percentage points on market share. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 461,900 units and 349,400 units respectively, up 104.4% and 23% year on year. Their market shares increased by 16.1 percentage points and 4.1 percentage points.
