In March, the total sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 819,200 units, up 21.3% year on year. The market share increased 4.3 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 250,800 units, down 4.2% year on year, with a decrease of 0.7 percentage points on market share. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 267,000 units and 178,500 units respectively, up 115.4% and 28.3% year on year. Their market shares increased 16.2 percentage points and 3.7 percentage points.
As for the first three months, the accumulated sales of Chinese brand passenger cars reached 2,292,200 units, up 20.8% year on year. The market share increased 4.2 percentage points than the previous year. To be specific, the sales of Chinese brand cars were 710,400 units, down 2.3% year on year, with a decrease of 0.5 percentage points on market share. On the contrary, the sales of Chinese brand SUV and MPV both enjoyed growth in sales volume and market share. The sales reached 728,900 units and 527,900 units respectively, up 108.3% and 24.7% year on year. Their market shares increased 16.1 percentage points and 3.9 percentage points.
