The monthly data of the power battery in December 2021 is released as follows.
In terms of output, in December 2021, my country's power battery output totaled 31.6GWh, a year-on-year increase of 109.0% and a month-on-month increase of 12.0%. Among them, the output of ternary batteries was 11.4GWh, a year-on-year increase of 34.6% and a month-on-month increase of 10.1%; the output of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 20.1GWh, a year-on-year increase of 207.7% and a month-on-month increase of 12.7%. From January to December 2021, my country's power battery output accumulated to 219.7GWh, a year-on-year increase of 163.4%. Among them, the cumulative output of ternary batteries was 93.9GWh, accounting for 42.7% of the total output, a cumulative increase of 93.6% year-on-year; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 125.4GWh, accounting for 57.1% of the total output, a cumulative increase of 262.9% year-on-year.
In terms of sales, in December 2021, my country's power battery sales totaled 35.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 190.5%. Among them, the sales of ternary batteries were 11.8GWh, an increase of 82.2% year-on-year, accounting for 33.4% of the total sales; the sales of lithium iron phosphate batteries were 23.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 320.2%, accounting for 66.2% of the total sales. From January to December 2021, the cumulative sales of power batteries in my country reached 186.0GWh, a year-on-year increase of 182.3%. Among them, the cumulative sales of ternary batteries was 79.6GWh, a cumulative increase of 128.9% year-on-year; the cumulative sales of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 106.0GWh, a cumulative increase of 245.0% year-on-year.
In terms of vehicle loading: In December 2021, my country's power battery loading capacity was 26.2GWh, a year-on-year increase of 102.4% and a month-on-month increase of 25.9%. Among them, the total loading of ternary batteries was 11.1GWh, a year-on-year increase of 84.7% and a month-on-month increase of 19.7%; the total loading of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 15.1GWh, a year-on-year increase of 118.5% and a month-on-month increase of 30.1%. From January to December 2021, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries in my country is 154.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 142.8%. Among them, the cumulative installed capacity of ternary batteries is 74.3GWh, accounting for 48.1% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative increase of 91.3% year-on-year; the cumulative installed capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries is 79.8GWh, accounting for 51.7% of the total installed capacity, a cumulative increase of 227.4% year-on-year.
In December 2021, a total of 47 power battery companies in my country's new energy vehicle market achieved vehicle installation, a decrease of 2 from the same period last year. The top 3, top 5, and top 10 power battery companies have installed 19.9GWh, 22.2GWh and 24.5GWh of vehicles, accounting for 75.8%, 84.5% and 93.4% of the total installed capacity, respectively. From January to December 2021, a total of 58 power battery companies in my country's new energy vehicle market have achieved vehicle installation, a decrease of 13 compared with the same period last year, ranking the top 3, top 5, and top 10 power battery companies. They are 114.6GWh, 128.9GWh and 142.5GWh respectively, accounting for 74.2%, 83.4% and 92.3% of the total installed vehicles, respectively.
