As of April, the number of charging piles nationwide was 1.827 million

On May 12, the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance released data showing that from January to April this year, my country’s charging infrastructure increased by 146,000 units, and the increase in public charging infrastructure increased by 100.3% year-on-year. The facility increment continued to rise, up 129.8% year-on-year. As of April 2021, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure across the country was 1.827 million units, a year-on-year increase of 42.0%. As of April 2021, members of the alliance have reported a total of 868,000 public charging piles, including 363,000 DC charging piles, 505,000 AC charging piles, and 426 AC/DC integrated charging piles. From May 2020 to April 2021, an average of about 26,800 public charging piles will be added every month.
