Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative Holds Meeting to Deploy Overall Planning for the Prevention of the COVID-19 and the Promotion of the BRI

　　On March 27th, Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative convened a meeting. He Lifeng, leader of Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and chairman of NDRC, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. Ning Jizhe, deputy director of Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and vice chairman of NDRC, chaired the meeting. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on jointly building the BRI as well as the community of shared future for mankind, and the spirit of relevant meetings of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. The meeting also deliberated reports from relevant departments of NDRC and MFA.

　　The meeting underscored the necessity to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guide, resolutely implement the decision-making arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, comprehensively and accurately analyse the new situation, new tasks as well as new requirements under the overall guidance of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative,    always maintain strategic determination and actively cope with the impact of the COVID-19, adhere to the guideline of making progress while maintaining stability, focus on promoting high-quality development of the BRI to better serve the overall situation of internal and external work.

　　The meeting attached importance to steadily and orderly promoting the BRI while comprehensively preventing and controlling the epidemic, stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment, strengthening services for enterprises and projects, steadily enhancing project construction, practically fending off and defusing various risks. Efforts must be made to comprehensively deepen cultural exchanges and cooperation, promote international cooperation against the COVID-19, and tell China's stories well about jointly building the BRI.

　　The meeting urged all departments and units to earnestly fulfill their responsibilities, cooperate and form joint force to scientifically propose general ideas, main goals and key measures of work for the promotion of jointly building high-quality, high-standard and high-level BRI.

　　Comrades from Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, National Health Commission and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council attended the meeting.
