On November 13, 2020, at the closing ceremony of the "2020 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference", Mr. Cao Bin, the rotating chairman of the China Automotive Basic Software Ecological Committee, released the "China Automotive Basic Software Development White Paper 1.0". Under the guidance of the Equipment Industry Division I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this white paper was compiled by the China Automobile Manufacturers Association and the United Nations major auto companies, component suppliers and automotive basic software companies to promote the vigorous development of my country’s automotive basic software industry. Provide a useful reference for the development strategy of my country's automobile industry towards intelligentization.
As the automotive industry is undergoing a period of great changes in electrification, intelligence, and connectivity, intelligent networked vehicles have become an important development direction for the automotive industry. The concept of "software defines cars" has become a consensus. Basic software is an important part of automotive software. It will drive the innovation of automotive technology and promote the differentiated development of automotive products. It is an important foundation and core for the development of the automotive industry toward intelligence and connectivity. The essential.
The purpose of this white paper is to clarify the definition and connotation of basic automotive software, analyze the opportunities and challenges faced in the development of basic automotive software in my country, sort out the status quo of the basic automotive software industry in my country, and put forward the key concerns of the industry. At the same time, it looks forward to the future development trend of automobile basic software, and puts forward development suggestions for the technical research and promotion of my country's automobile basic software.
Automotive basic software has a wide range of application scenarios, not only involving the design, production and manufacturing of complete vehicles, but also the production and processing of key parts, covering the complete industrial chain and key links of the automotive industrial revolution under the conditions of a new generation of information technology. This white paper mainly sorts out the applications of autonomous driving, networking, electrification, etc. for SOA-oriented design thinking trees.
At the same time, this white paper puts forward suggestions for the future development of my country's automobile basic software, mainly in the following three aspects:
First of all, make overall plans and vigorously promote the development and industrialization of basic automotive software technology. Focus on the key application areas of basic software, promote industry collaboration, effectively divide labor, and create an open and independent industrial environment. Encourage enterprises to make up their minds to break through the difficulties of independent research and development and application, support and help my country's independent automobile basic software research and development enterprises, and increase domestic market share.
Secondly, formulate a route for localization and strengthen the application and promotion of basic software for domestic autonomous vehicles. The first is to formulate a strategy for promoting the application of domestically-produced automobile basic software and improve the application substitution promotion policy. State-owned automobile companies must take the lead in localizing the basic software of automobiles and speed up the localization of basic automobile software in important areas. The second is to promote business model innovation and encourage my country's automotive basic software companies to take advantage of their strong core technology research and development capabilities and fast product iterations, and jointly explore the innovation of intelligent networked automotive software technology, products and services under the open Internet model. The third is to gradually build a win-win application promotion system around the industrial ecology of “software-defined cars”.
Finally, strengthen the establishment of the automotive basic software ecosystem, improve the technology research and development system, and establish important application standards. The first is to focus on the industrial ecological environment of the basic software of autonomous vehicles, and deploy key technology research and development and innovative applications. The second is to formulate basic software application standards and specifications that meet the future development needs and application characteristics of my country's automobiles through the ecosystem of organizations and alliances. Accelerate the development of my country's automobile industry towards intelligence and connectivity, and enhance international competitiveness.
